Silverlude , you must have some outrageous gearing or no overdrive to be taching that high for so little (relatively) speed. I had 4.10's 5sp. manual with 0 .8 to 1 od and was taching only 3600 at 95. What's your secret, what kinda gears YOU runnin?

 

Sounds like hes in 4th gear, 4300-5K is a pretty broad span???

 

i have a 373 rear which i just found out.. and over drive is on when drive.. i thought i had 327 rear


i said 4300-5k because i cant remember but it was somewhere between there probably about 4500

 

Somethings not right. I think going that fast, the truck is staying in 4th gear to pull that speed.

 

i have a 4 gear auto with o/d option i guess.. i can either leave it on or off, but leave it on all the time.. I was talking to my friend to night with a 98 or 99 s 10 4.3l and he said he tops out at 98 too lol i thought that was funny
