bamachips
how much do these run and an alternate site to look at it www.bamachips.com never works. mainly looking for it for mpg's
the microtuner will run around $325!! not a bad deal. here is what it does.
This programmer can hold up to 3 different performance. Simply
plug it into your diagnostic port below the steering wheel and tune like a
pro. With easy to follow instructions it will retain your stock programming
and re-flash your computer with up to 3 different programs there again
written for your vehicle. It will typically come with a premium gas
performance program, a regular gas program, and a premium torque program.
Then if you decide to sell the vehicle or go in for emissions/warrenty repair just
plug it in and return it to the stock calibration. Doug can also raise or remove both your rev limiter and your governor. He has seen up to 10 rwhp increase and 17tq on an '04. Seems small but get the tuner and you'll see size doesnt matter with this puppy. it IS the motion of the ocean.

You can get it programmed for any octane fuel, and you can also get programs that focus on different things, like torque, performance, towing, etc. Generally people pick up about 2-3 mpg or more by using a tuner.
i ordered mine last week...i have the new xcaliber with the screen...they're about 399 and you can get wat ever programs you want...
He has an 87 mileage program that i will use when i go home next week
i also got the 89 torque and 93 performance...
gas is hella cheap in alabama so i'll switch over to 93 when i get home

Ive been to the site a few times, I dont kno which product is right for me and my truck. I jus want to run regular octane fuel, pick up some mpg and increase performance all at the same time if possible.Im pretty sure i will buy from Bama, jus not sure what. Anyone have any tried and true results with one of his chips?
I say get the programmer from Doug it is like getting a new engine. The TQ setting is really good for offroading makes you able to spin doughnuts like crazy. But the programmer is the best thing I have ever bought for my truck!
Doesn't matter. Chip/Programmer....you will have the same great programming and results with both. I would personally go w/ the XCal2. Lets you view and clear check engine light codes, allows you to revert back to stock incase you have to take it in for warranty work with no signs that you have programmed your trucks computer (Something evident when using a chip), allows you to do your own fine tunning using their software and a USB cable, and has the ability to datalog a ton of information from your computer so you can use it in your diagnostics/fine tuning (Or you can send that info to Doug and he can make an even more custom tuned program for your vehicle...e-mail it back to you...you load to your XCal and program your truck...). Doug's an awesome guy with great customer service. You will not go wrong purchasing from him.
If the chip is the cause of something in the PCM jacking up, having a CARB legal tag isn't going to keep the dealership from not warrantying it. The CARB tag has nothing to do with what we are talking about.
