I have the Magnaflow with 2.5" pipes. It sounds great. Not to loud in the cab, but has a nice V8 rumble. I have a 4.0

Basically, the loudest are Flowmaster 40 series. Borla and Gibson are pretty quiet, and Magnaflow is kinda in between.

You'll never get a V8 sound out of a 3.0, its been tried and gotten close but its just not gonna happen. The deepest sound will probably be a Flowmaster Original 40.

You'll probably have the best luck with a Flowmaster 40, like said above, but if you want something a little quieter, but still with a good sound, go with Borla.

i have the flow 40 dumped under my bed. my friend on his 93' cut his muffler off, and it sounds awsome. it just dumps right after his cab. he didnt notice anything performance wise, but its pretty nice sounding. i almost wish i didnt buy a muffler.

My '05 Ranger has a 3.0 V6 and I've got a Magnaflow exaust on mine, I think it sounds really good, I really like it. But that's just my opinion... just don't do straights if you want it to sound deep my friend did that to his Ranger and well its loud but that's about it, so yeah Magnaflow or Flowmaster would be ideal.

Oof, dont go true duals on a 3.0 please..! :-D You wont get the sound your lookign for out of that, and thts letting out too much at a time without having enough intake, ro something forcing the air to blow out (Supercharger//Turbo), youll feel the loss and the suddenly low power output when you are in the lower RPMs

i have a '99 3.0 w/magnaflow exaust, 2" pipe and 3" angle cut tips. it is the one-in two-out setup. i absolutely love it. it is really deep in the lower RPMs but gets a lil tuner type sound at high RPMs. and yes you will never get a v8 sound out of a v6, so if you want a v8 rumble get a v8.
