Big problem after new plugs and wires need help asap

Well today i put a new set of plugs and wires in my pickup. When i was done i started the truck it idles fine but has a small miss and big decrease in power. I put my foot in it and the truck almost died. The truck smells very and i mean very rich. Ive done plugs a wires a million times in my life and ive checked the boots and everything over. I am pretty sure that i have the wires in the right order on the rotor if anyone has a diagram could you please send it to me just so i can double check. I tried to compare it to my dads ranger but it has coil packs and my 94 still has the old fashioned rotor distributor. If anyone knows or has a clue what the problem is please let me know.

i changed the plugs and wires on my truck, and one day it started shaking real bad on idle and real bad during driving, also smelled real rich, couldnt figure out what was wrong, nothing looked bad, and when i brought it to the shop, apparently the wire was sittin on the manifold and had melted from me drivin for a while like that, and when the guy pulled the wires off, one of the wires fell apart... dunno if that helps at all but i thought id let you kno

^^ill have to watch out for that when i throw my new wires on... thanks

as far as your problem goes double check the wire locations, the plug closest to the cab should have the wire in the clip closest to the cab on the corrisponding side and so on...
