Yes I can comfirm it will chirp. My 99 ranger 3.0 started chirping. Sounds like a worn out belt. So I installed a new belt, started the motor..... and yep, still chirping. Thats when I did my research and learned about the cam synchro. I changed it, no more squeaking.
