cam syncro

hey,
ive heard about a cam syncro or something causing a catostrophic failure of the engine. i was wondering what i could do to prevent this. i have an 01 3.0 with 130k miles

replace it.

I had mine lock up on me at 115k. I just read over there someone with an 06 with 28k on it locked up what a shame.

any info on how to replace it? will i have to take it to the stealership?

My engine locked up at 52K I wonder if that was the cause? Makes me want to check mine out on the new engine I have had for 35K miles
