You are way overdue for a fuel filter change. I change mine about every 50,000 miles. If your truck is running well, you may see no difference after you change it. When a fuel filter starts to plug up , the first thing you will notice is poor performance or misfire under load or full throttle acceleration.
Even if your truck is running well it is advisable to change the fuel filter.

Just slide under the driver side and the filter should be just inside the frame rail. Should look like a small silver can the is inline on the metal fuel lines.
Just slide off the filter or unscrew the clamps and insert the new one. Maybe 20 min job. I don't know how yours is attached. Would look at mine but truck decided to hit concrete wall with my help and is in body shop.
