Considering a 3.0 power chip Module

Do any of you guys use a PCM on your trucks and if so what are your takes on them? I saw a few on e-bay from $28-$39. Most claim 7-9 hp gain and some up to 35hp gain. OK ....so come on let me have it. What are some experiences and best brands?

them on ebay are crap. if your really looking into getting one you'll have to spend more money on it then that and if you do a quick search on here you'll find most of us use a Bama chip programmer and love what we get

They won't help your '01. They are nothing but resistors to fool sensors and though they have some value on older trucks, my experiments and the information presented by others shows they are about useless on newer ones.

Save up and get a real "chip" for your PCM or a tuner to download it. Either way you'll be able to get real, measured gains that you'll be happier with. The stuff on eBay is not so much a scam as a "myth" which doesn't translate to newer control systems.
