kinda lost on this

ok well i got my K&N intake on today and so i installed it and it went good then drove it around all is good stoped by a friends house then we took a little drive for about 45 min on the freeway stoped ate lunch got back in the truck the check engine light came on! and i was thinking oh mabye i am blockin the tranny cooler (put 2 6inch off road lights behind the gril one is right infront of it) but that wasnt it i was able to hold the tranny cooler and wouldnt burn me lol..... checked all connections still on there any help and NO i didnt oil the filter there pre oiled i know that lol

Bring the truck somewhere to pull the code...could be many many things....Around here Auto Zone will pull the codes from your truck/car for free......So if you have any Auto Zomes there...go for it....

Did you reset the computer after installing the intake?

If not, un hook the battery, let it sit for 10-15 minutes, plug the battery back in, and run the truck at an idle fro 10-15 minutes to retrain the computer.

I agree with what Matt said. I have also heard that revving the engine after you hook the battery back up helps. That's what I did and had no problems with my intake.

If it pulls codes P1132 and P1152, you have to spray some electrical cleaner on your MAF sensor. And it is a biatch!

ok never mind the light is back on i even cleaned the MAF with tf cleaner still no worky or is there a special way to clean it?
