Coolant Leak - requesting help
Coolant Leak - requesting help
Happy Hump day my fellow Rangers....
I noticed a coolant leak and am unsure of where it's coming from. There is a leak coming down the r/f side of the engine. I'm thinking possible Intake but Idk. Hoping somebody has seen this before.
Thanks in Advance

Assuming 3.0l engine and 1995 or up, because of CKP sensor?
helpful to post engine and year
Google: ford ranger 3.0l coolant leak front cover
It was/is a common issue
See if that looks like what is happening on yours

Possible timing chain cover leaking. Mine started leaking in the same area at 118,000 miles about the same time the water pump started leaking. If the water pump is leaking, I highly recommend changing the timing chain cover gasket and timing chain as well, because it WILL start leaking. Sometimes it can leak internally and you won't see it until small amounts of antifreeze show up on your oil stick. Mine had a real main seal leaking oil and I noticed antifreeze mixed with the oil.
