'04 3.0 edge.

Truck came with a yellow coolant in it. Is it ok to use the regular green "PEAK" stuff you can buy at any store? Thats what I have always used in other vehicles.

EDIT: I don't plan to mix the 2. I'm going to flush and refill.

Use what FORD recommends & you can't go wrong. It doesn't cost much to do it right but, doing it wrong to save $.50 & it'll cost you plenty. But that's just me.

 

One reason I asked is, I think I have a leak somewhere and can't find it. The gold stuff looks too much like water when you see a drip of it. The green stuff is a lot easier to spot.

On top of that, I have a bunch of the green stuff already. But I guess I'll go buy some gold.

 

when i pulled my radiator to do my e-fan, i switched to green stuff i had....nothing wrong with it.

 

well I went ahead and put the gold in it. Another thing I don't like about this stuff is there is hardly any smell to it. Another thing that will make it hard to know when you have a leak...
