I am replacing my headgaskets and there was a considerable amount of sludge around the head gasket and in what seems to be the coolant ports. Is this bad news or is it normal for a dirty system? While I have it broke down this far is there a proper procedure to completely clean the system? I am parinoid about having the cooling system top notch so I can avoid blowing another head gasket.
