A couple exhaust questions

I have a couple questions regarding exhaust because im an exhaust noob. I am planning on putting a flowmaster 40 series si/do muffler on my truck. My question is what size piping should I get, and what size tips? I want to get the best sound I can get with it. Also, how good is this muffler in terms of cab noise?

I would recommend, sinc eyouve got a 4x4 XLT, probably a 4.0 Liter.. a 2.5" to the splitter from the Cat-Back, followed by 2 1/4" dual tips.. its what I'm running on my current setup.. somewhere between a 2.25" or 2.5" on the tips. Any bigger and youll start losing some low end power youll be wanting.

i have the flowmaster 40 si/do that exits under the bumper on either side at a 45* angle with 4in tips sounds pretty good and the drone in the cab isnt that bad but its noticable but i have a 4.0L so yours may sound a lil ricey

I'd say do 2.5" piping to the muffler, then split it off to either 2" or 2 1/4" with 3" tips. The 3" tips are going to lose you any back pressure, if its bent piping then go with 2 1/4" as its not going to a smooth but if you get 2" thats mandrel bent then go with 2" as its going to flow so much better.

on a side not, S1att3r how do you like your glass pack. I'm going to try and get my exhaust done next week but I have a feeling its not going to be until the week after as I need to get the $100 to my one piece drive shaft so I can run the 2.5" tubing the right way. But I'm going to be doing 2.5" piping from the cat all the way out with it being side swept (basically factory but 2.5" piping). I have a flow master 40 series and its not loud enough. But I'm defiantly not looking for it to sound like crap.

i love the sound of it at around 3k rpms loud and deep.
at idle it sound like a v-8.
$220 custom for bends and split into extreme duals with 2 4" by probably 24" tips.
left tip is deeper than the right dunno why

Can you buy this thing as a kit? Or did you buy the piping and the muffler separate?

I think imgoing to go for 2.5 inch piping with 3 inch tips. Now for the muffler, should I go with a flowmaster super 40, original 40, or delta flow?
