Half shaft the existing throttle body. Better flow without the hassle of using an Escape TB.

Older throttle body has a larger bore...

I have a 92 2.9 V6, I bought a 2.9 TB off ebay from a late 80's 2.9 V6. The bore is indeed bigger than the '92 and is a direct bolt on with no mods needed. I ground the bore and polished it even larger with sanding drums and tappered the bore I also "shark finned" the blade of the TB and halfed the shaft and ground down the screw threads. The TB only cost $45. Great modification.
