Egr feed back hoses

My 01 3.0 ranger keeps burning off both oem feedback hoses in about 1/2 to 1 mile range. I am stumped as to why and also falls flat on it's face on the slightest hill.

I suspect clogged catalytic converter(s). The hot gases backing up into the EGR tube are excessive if they are burning up the rubber hoses. Assuming the EGR tube is in good condition and not internally rotted out. Surprised you're not experiencing high coolant temps. It also helps to mention the year and mileage of the vehicle.
