ok, had to cut the pipe between the egr valve and manifold to replace the head! went to the salvage yards to find a pipe/header and no joy!

ive tried the auto store products and they didnt last.

I have use flexible copper tubing on a few EGR systems, seems to last, tubing and fittings are not too expensive

Rock Auto... $40 and you're golden. It will fit correct, look correct and it has the braided heat shield included. That is what we did to my son's truck (The Arctic Wolf). No regrets.

It took the heat of an acetylene torch to break the big nut lose on the exhaust manifold on mine.
I used a bunch of heavy duty aluminum foil to protect the surrounding areas from the torch.

I couldn't find one for the 1995 either. My son's truck (The Arctic Wolf 1911) is a 1999 3.0L. May be a different design?

I found some pictures from Google, the 99 and 95 are very different.
The 99 is held in place by one huge nut (22 mm)
and the other design appears to have 2 small bolts and a flange, like on Kobin's truck.
Doesn't look like that's available anymore _ at least from Rock Auto.

Yeah, you're right one little bolt, the picture at Rock Auto shows that, and it's blanked off.
