I have a 2001 rander V6 that started sputering and losing power. I replaced the fuel filter. no help. replaced the spark plugs and reset the engine light. The truck ran great for haif a day then resumed the sputering and lose of power. Its now showing code p-1300 and that covers alot of things. Can anyone give me some advice-short of taking it to the shop! I cant really afford a big repair bill. I'm sure it's something I can fix if I could just locate the problem. HELP!!!

 

The cam position syncronizer is known to fail on 3.0's . I'm not sure if this could be the cause or not .
Do a search for cam position syncro on this site .There's a lot of threads on this.
