Flooding/Stalling 87 Ranger 2.9....

Hey guys, new here....

I got a 87 Ranger XLT 2.9/5sp and ive been having many issues, but got most of them sorted out except for one that is driving me NUTS....

Truck runs fine when its cold. No issues at all. As soon as it gets close to temp, you can hear it starting to rich out...

Once it hits full warm everything seems to be fine. Itll idle all day long, runs smooth (idle is a bit shakey though)...

But if you give it throttle and let up the clutch then mash the clutch (like say, in a drive thru) the thing instantly goes pig rich and starts stumbling around and flooding. However, all you have to do is tap the gas, and it comes right back.

It also floods out the same way on decleration, if you use the engine to slow the truck it will stumble, and stall when you hit the clutch. It will come right back though with some throttle, and if it does stall, itll fire right back up like nothing happend, except for a huge cloud of black smoke.

Ive replaced the CTS, AIT, O2, Distributor, coil, cap, plugs, wires, EGR valve/sensor, no codes besides a code 18 but i dont think that has anything to do with this. TPS tested good.

My mechanic said he thinks it has a bad valve, but it doesnt seem that way to me. It doesnt smoke or anything and doesnt sound goofy on a dead crank.

Any help is apperciated.
