Front Brake Hoses

Hi,
I have a 98 Ranger XLT 3.0 4WD 2 wheel ABS.
I blew a front brake hose and am having a difficult time finding ones that fit.
The fitting that attaches to the caliper will not seat properly over the curved part of the caliper. I have tried Duralast and NAPA but neither will fit. Has anyone found a replacement hose for a 98 that fits?
Thanks

Welcome to the forum

That is odd.

1998 to 2008 4WD 3.0l are the same, there is a left and right side
4WD and 2WD are different because of calipers

Could it be an early 98 with leftover 97 parts?

Our old 97 tarus had a 98 transmission in it. yes the trans pan was totally different bolt holes which is fun to discover after youve dropped it and the new gasket doesnt fit at all...

we bought the car used with only 12K on it in 98 so i doubt someone grenaded and swapped in a later trans.
