so i go to hop in my truck i notice a puddle underneath i take a look and i dont see anything immediate so i jump in and try to turn it over and nothing on goes the cel and out runs about a gallon of gas adding to the puddle so i go wtf hop under and see a line from the tank to the fuel pump disconnected i reconnected it tryed to start again it popped off again so i try to get it on again and it works and i get home and every thing seems nomal the cel is gone i just want to know is this going to be a recurring thing or will i be alright

What type of connector came apart? Is their a retaining clip, or does it just sleeve on?

 

it just sleeves on no clip of any kind there was a click when i snapped it back on though

 

Maybe try using a hose clamp to help clamp it down and hold it in place so it doesn't happen again.

 

You can get the proper clips from any automotive store or use small zip ties (I have with success in a pinch), but there's one question nagging me about the whole thing: how much fuel was missing? Any chance someone removed it to syphon off fuel? I know it'd be a bugger sucking it through the fuel line but I've seen gas thieves try dumber things.. LR

 

well idk if some one tryed to steal gas only like 1/8 of a tank was gone and there was about 2 gallons under me but idk i was just pissed it wouldn't start and was spraying my under my truck with gas
