Hi all,

When I press the brake pedal while in park, it does not unlock the gear shifter. I have to reach down there and press some part in order to get the shifter to unlock. I found a little plastic part on the floor under the pedals which I assume fell off of whatever is broken down there. Can anyone tell me what this is?

Yours is broken, not too hard to replace, there are videos

Check that you have brake lights, it is activated by brake pedal switch
