To adjust the limiter speed, you must have access to the calibration and that means a tuner or chip. The only other way would be to trick the PCM into thinking that the truck is going slower than it is. This could probably be done with a speedometer calibration box in the VSS wire. It might work OK on a manual trans but it would screw up an automatic's shift schedule.

True, but $400 is just part of the potential gas bill, plus my efan doesn't appear to be saving me anything yet. I'm going to raise the thermostat temp a tad to see if that helps out.
