heater problems...

My 99 3.0 is taking along time to warm up in the morning. And...I can see the temp going up and down...when I stop at a red light..the heater gets cold again. The other day when I got home...I could hear the water boiling in the reservior. I've changed the thermostat, and flushed and filled the radiator. Any ideas?

you might check the cooling fan for proper operation.

Did you drain the coolant or actually connect it to something to flush it?? Sounds like something is clogged up...

well..i drained it..and put a waterhose in the radiator with the motor running. Thought that was the way to do it. Did i miss something? BTW...the fan is working fine.

i think i may have worded it wrong. When i said that i could see the temp going up and down, i meant from normal to cold...
