Hi there, I own a 2000 ford ranger xlt 2x4, 3.0 v6, I am about to tear her apart due to issues with either my heads, or head gasket, I haven't gotten the chance to pull this engine apart yet, now before I do so I like to label all my hoses, such as coolant, vacuum and brakes. is there anyway someone could send me a type of diagram showing me where each hose is located and what it is. that would be amazing, and any tips when pulling this engine apart. I've pulled a 3.3L v6 apart and it was pretty simple, and I just had a hard time with hose locations, but I put it back together and it runs great, now the reason im asking for diagrams is because my engine will be apart for a good while so it will be hard for me to remember off the top of my head where everything goes, I already have a wirinng diagram.

Only other option is to get a 2000 Ford Ranger Shop Manual set, WITH wiring diagram manual(often sold separately)
Should be 3 books in the 2000 set
Must be for 2000 Ranger, 2001 or 1999 may be different

People buy these sets then sell them when they sell the vehicle, so if you keep them in good shape they can cost you nothing because you can sell them for what you paid for them

 

Pictures are a must. I also use a bunch of Ziplock bags to put nuts and bolts in and label the bags with what they came from. I have done several engines and heads over the years and no matter how good you THINK your memory is you WILL mess up something! LOL

 

thats what i did, all my bolts and small parts are in bags labeled.

 

Thank you for the help, the engine is almost all the way torn apart, and I have all my hoses and wires labeled and probably around 50 pics of different wires and hoses.

 

I have a long folding table I set up when pulling anything apart, first things off go at the far end and then as parts come off they go on the table in order to the other end
Same for the bolts, they go with the parts and in order

 

Yeah that would be nice, but I am doing this outside, so I have to be careful where store parts.
