I noticed today that this was leaking antifreeze it’s in the back of my
fire wall I dunno what it is or if something is suppose to be attracted to it it’s on my 2008 Ranger and when I turn on my heater I get smoke / Vapor coming threw the vents and smells
like antifreeze as well

 

It looks like where the heater hose is supposed to be connected to supply hot coolant to the heater. Your Ranger must have had a coolant leak in the heater, and the fix was to remove the hoses and cap the source.
