hesitation at cold start up

since the winter weather has come and its been cold outside, my truck when its cold from sitting all night kinda like hesitates when you start it up. it only does it when its been sitting over night and its really cold. when you start the truck the RPM's stay down around 400 or 500 and than it like catches and shoots up to 1,800 RPM's. if anyone knows what this could be your help would be greatly appreciated

It could be a bad IAC valve getting stuck due to coldness. Try taking it off and lubing it up.

it should idle higher from a cold start then drop down as it warms.normal.

Mine has this problem but its not the fuel filter its some kind of valve in the fuel pump that is supposed to keep pressure from bleeding off and the only reason it hard starts when its cold is because it needs more fuel... If i flick the key back and fourth a couple times it doesnt do it as bad...
