High idle seemingly all time
High idle seemingly all time
I have a 99 3.0 flex 5 speed...I recently did a smoke test to check for vacuum leaks because of lean codes on both banks no smoke visible with vacuum line or fittings only smoke that showed was coming out of egr valve housing and the top of the iac replaced both with new and also had smoke coming out of the fitting that goes into the main breather tube going from maf sensor to throttle body I replaced the fitting and also had smoke coming out of the side of the throttle body at the spring(haven't replaced because having trouble finding a whole new throttle body)then the key went bad and wouldn't transmit with the pats system...while the truck was down with key issue battery was unhooked to replace parts mentioned above...got the new key today and while driving home noticed the truck had a very high idle all time even noticed idle was around 2500 to 3000 when clutch was pressed in at a stop and rpms would not go down while shifting my question is could that spot where the smoke came out on the throttle body be causing this or could it possibly be a clutch on its last leg...the clutch doesn't slip out of gear but did notice at times like today that it was harder than should be to get into gear...all advise is welcome....thanks
