Well I bought this truck a month ago. I expected a few things that I would have to fix, but come on.

The ABS light came on a few days after I got it home. Front ABS and rear ABS sensors. Then after driving it enough for run 3/4 tank of gas through it, the CEL came on. This time it gives me P0455. I've searched through some older threads and most say its the gas cap or filler tube. Wouldn't I have seen it before now if that was the case?

Any other thoughts for the P0455 code?

sounds like its time for a smoke machine to check for evap leaks

 

Mine was from the filler neck having a decent crack in it, they are kind of brittle.

i believe a p0455 is a code that came up on my 97 3.0 ranger 4x4. i talked to a guy and he said after a while the gas line that comes off the tank as a breather or something will stop up and cause the code.
