Injectors?

Hi guys, I have a problem. I think my fuel injectors are shot. When I am in 1st 2nd or 3rd gear and I let off of the gas the truck starts to buck lightly then it gets worse if I do not hit the gas or clutch. Also when its idling it struggles to stay alive even after it warms up. Does this sound like the injectors? If so should I stick with stock or go aftermarket? Also how much should I pay for aftermarket? And will I get any performance boost from aftermarket? Thanks guys.

I would have to check my Haynes book, but I do know to gain access to the injectors you would have to remove the upper intake manifold. But, if you were to work on this system, you must relieve fuel pressure. There are critcal steps for removing injectors. Personally, I dont have the guts to work on injectors, seeming you must know what your doing. Im sure some gearheads will chime in on injector removal help. Sorry buds and good luck.

If its really that tricky then I don't think I can trust myself to do it. I'm gonna look through my haynes book and check it out.

I dont think its your injectors. When was the last time you checked the coil pack, plugs and wires?

I wouldn't want you to frig up your rig man. You should park it until you find out what code your throwing. IMHO

So I'm stumped. I just replaced my wires and it still runs like crap. My CEL turned off for a little while but its back. It doesn't want to start. It will be cracking for fifteen seconds three or four times before it starts. The idle is really rough like vroom...vroom...vroom. could this be my coil pack? My plugs and wires are new. WTF!!!! I havnt gotten the codes read yet, just wonderin if anyone can give me an idea whats wrong.

then go buy a reader, you'll have it for the future then and will help save money by not replacing parts that don't fix the problem.

my 70 some dollar UltraGauge reads codes. you should just pick one of those up, plus you can monitor different readings all at once.

so it was the EGR valve. there was something jammed in it holding it open.

in the first pic you can see the "EGR Tube" (pipe which runs from the valve to the block). the guy who owned the truck before me had a hole in it which is not good. he decided to try to weld it closed (which didnt work), a piece of the weld broke off and got jammed in the valve holdoing it open. im no 100% on what its function is, something to do with your fuel to air ratio or exhaust or something along those lines.
