K&N vs Volant

Ive heard good things about K&N, but nothing on Volant cold air. K&N adds 5 horse, and volant adds 10 horse, but there the same price. Which should i get? And how much do they increase fuel economy (w/o lead footing)?

i personally would choose the volant over the K&N, simply for the fact that it has a closed filter box, which works much better than a heat shield like on the K&N

i dont think either of the intakes will help your mileage much, its just not their nature. if youre looking for mileage an e-fan would be a much better mod

What is the E-Fan all about? Is it a pretty simple mod?

No CAI will give you more than 1-2 hp in the 3.0. Its been proven by dyno tests. Don't believe what the kit makers advertise. They're just trying to sell you something. Aren't you aware of the fact that most advertising is lies?

After reading through all these posts, I still don't know if I fully understand the benefits of getting an E-Fan. I thought I read 1-2 MPG increase, and minor hp gains. Is it worth it?

I have had the K&n drop in filter and its ok i just recently bought the volant cold air intake without the heat shield and it works pretty well. Truck feels lil peppier.
