xcal tuner seems to be the best option, other than that underdrive pullies, intake, roller rockers, efan, exhaust...etc

it costs mucho dinero to go fast... dont get CHIPS, you can watch it and you can eat them but dont use them

Pulley is the best bang for the buck.... everything else is atleast $300-400 also dont fall for those electric superchargers or TB spacers or tornadoes... all they will suck is your wallet.... and maybe something else if you get bored from time to time.....

Going fast is expensive. If you want to go fast, you're just gonna have to deal with it. Besides, of all the cars you could have picked to go fast in... you picked a Ranger!?

I'm not sure he's necessarily looking to go faster, but all of us in the 3.0 community agree that it could use a bit more umph to really be functional...the Vulcan is a dog. Some days I get so irritated in traffic I start considering trying something completely different and swap in a SHO V6. If you can't fit a 3.2L in there something is wrong...

i used to have the 2.3L with the 5 speed it was a 2000 and that thing was real peppy, I think that it was the gearing. I don't remember what gear exactly, but you could look into 4.10's.

Wouldn't the lower the number in gears be the way you want to go for out of the gate speed?

No, numerically higher the gear ratio, the more accel you have. like a 4.10. If you want top end, then go for something lower, like a 3.55

Glad someone else said it. Any higher gears and you could watch the gas needle move faster than the slowly rising speedo....

gear wise, it would probably be easier to swap a rear end with a used one, and while you are at it get one with an ls. Getting a shop to regear, would probably be more expensive.
Pulleys, look on ebay.
so pulling a random number out of my butt, i'd say you could get the parts for under $300

So 4.10 gears are the way to go. These gears would be the best for drag use? Best off the line right?
