modifications?
No, you would replace mechanical fan with an electric fan(e-fan), they would give you an extra 3-4HP and better MPG
A working Fan clutch setup is actually better than direct drive fan for performance, but electric fan is better than either of those
An e-fan only draws power from alternator when its on, so only after radiator warms up
And it only comes on when you are driving slow, because of less air flow thru radiator for cooling, when you are above say 40MPH the air flow thru rad is better than any fan can provide so it shuts off, so 0 power drain on the engine
It is one of the only win-win things you can change on a mechanical fan engine, but...................not a cheap modification, unless you scavenge parts from wrecking yards, which is doable

i was thinking of an electric fan, but i dont know where i would get it besides ordering it from partsource or online.
if i go to a salvage yard, what vehicle could i salvage an electric fan from that will fit the ranger?

Here is a Volvo e-fan swap: https://therangerstation.com/tech_li...tric_fan.shtml
And new e-fan install: https://therangerstation.com/Magazin...d_ranger.shtml

okay awesome! ill look into a junkyard volvo fan, preferrably with the wiring harness if i can find such.
also, i was told for the intake, a 2004 ford taurus 60mm intake? i would have to change from an electronic throttle body to a cable throttle body.
