Muffler

Hey guys! I would like to put some kinda muffler on my 3.0 Ranger, BUT, I don't want it to sound like a rice burner. I would like something more mellow. I am 32 years old and just don't want it to be loud and anoying. What should I go with?

My friend has a magnaflow on his 3.0 and its pretty mellow. Any more mellow and you might as well leave the stock muffler on. It does sound good and deep though.

I put a Raptor 2" inlet/2" outlet in place of my stock muffler and it's the "mellowest" Ranger I have ver heard, the muffler was like $22.93 and it's very big but it is DEEP. Deepest is at 1000-1400RPM & 1900-2300RPM, look around your local part suppliers and see if they keep it, I highly recommend it after the 2 months I have been using it.

I personally have a Dynomax. It's cheap and has a nice sound. I got mine for $140. I've never heard another Ranger in person to compare. Well at least the 3.0.

I also have the gibson, it's pretty mellow, yet different enough that you appreciate it. The exhaust along with a decent cold air intake really wakes these trucks up.

I have heard that the gibson is mellow and has a very nice growl to it. I am planning on getting a gibson here pretty soon.

hey man i just put a flowmaster on mine.. not sure exactly which but i will find out for you... sounds pretty mean though but dont find it very annoying... dont really hear it on the highway unless my back window is open and im doing 140 km/h .. its is fairly loud ill give it that, but it has a nice v8 sound to it... gl with your search though.. oh btw i had them put a magnaflow up on it aswell and it honestly did not sound like very much.. it almost sounded next to stock to be honest... with the flowmaster i get a kickback out of it. dont know if you would like that or not.. i dunno really has a muscle sound when reving it.
