Need help changing my timing chain cover gasket
I have a 99-2000 3.0 ranger. I have a coolant leak at the timing chain cover, but I'm having trouble getting the crankshaft pulley and harmonic balancer off. I am only doing the gasket, not messing with the timing chain, its a new motor as of two years ago.
Do I have to worry about time when I remove the pulley and harmonic balancer?
What's the best way to hold the pulley and shaft from rotating?
Also, does the pulley come off first or does it come off with the balancer as one whole piece?
