How many gallons do we have when the "check guages" light comes on?

^^^Its different, depending on the gauge. We have a 19.5 gallon tank in the late model extended cabs and mine usually has 3-4 gallons left when the light comes on.

I have had my guage hand on the E and I have still never had my light come on, but now I know my hand will go below the E before I will run out of gas.

Joey, I don't know what to say regarding the coil pack and fuel economy. It does seem to help acceleration a bit. If my tank is 19.5 after all and has been #$*@)ing with me all this time, why is the needle locked on empty if I still have 3-4 gallons left? My 99 XLT would not do this...I easily got to 430 miles on a tank before it reached empty and I had to refill. I would average 100 per quarter of the gauge, but with this truck it's completely different. What changed?
