hey i have a 2003 edge 3.0.... and didnt get an owners manual with it and dont no how much oil to use when i change it.. the oil cap says 5w20 so im good there and im thinkin 4.5 quarts... i just wanna confirm the 4.5 quarts...

 

4.5 will put you about mid level on the dipstick 5 quarts will put you right at full. You can put 5 in no problem.

 

ok... so the owners manual does call for 5 quarts?

It calls for 4.5. I do 5 quarts. After you run the truck for a bit to fill up the filter it will sit about half way with 4.5. 5 seems to work the best for me.
