oil and coolant leak

I just bought a 2001 ford ranger edge and it is loosing oil and antifreeze. the whole underneath of the truck was covered in oil . we cleaned it up and noticed oil seems to be coming down from the drivers side and dripping on the starter. the antifreeze is dripping down the side of the oil pan. the truck had the head gasket replaced a few months before i bought it. we cant seems to find exactly where the leaks are coming from. we are not mechanics but we have replaced engine seals on other vehicles. has anyone had similliar leaks or no what might be causing this?

Oil leak may be loose or bad oil filter or the filter that has a doubled up gasket. I had the filter leak on my starter like tht before

i had a water pump leak on my chevy impala and i took it to get fixed 3 times over a year and a half before i found the problem myself. im not sure if the water pump is bad on the truck though. the antifreeze seems to be dripping down the passengers side of the oil pan and there is antifreeze where im assuming the rear main engine seal is. there is also alot of oil dripping around there too, but we are having a hard time finding the oil leak because the whole underneath of the front end is coated in oil. i just cleaned it up and drove it a few miles and again there was oil everywhere.

First, clean the engine at the carwash then add dye to the crankcase. The dye should give the location of the leak.

could it be a freeze plug? Common place for a coolant leak.

Oil could be valve cover gaskets or distributor seal.

Anti freeze could be any number of things.
Water pump or gasket, freeze plugs, intake gasket, leaky radiator splashing back on the engine.

Clean up the engine as best you can and watch, use a backlight you have it, oil lights up under a black light.

If the engine isn't too hot, run your fingers along the lower edge of the valve covers, might get an early sign of a leak. Antifreeze should light up some too under the black light.

Luck.
