Oil Pan Gasket/Transmission Question 3.0 4wd
I'm in a pickle trying to replace my oil pan gasket. I've got the pan dropped but can't remove it to replace the gasket. I've dropped the front axle as far as possible but still can't get it passed the oil pump/pick up. I've heard I can loosen the transmission bolts and pry it back a half inch to get the pan off.
What do I need to disconnect to do this? Do I have to remove the transfer case? Driveshaft? or can I just loosen the bolts and pry it back?
Also, will I need to unbolt the torque converter from the flywheel?
