oil wieght for my 3.0?
just bought a 94 3.0 4x4 xcab ranger with 163,000 miles on it.

what weight oil should i use?

how many quarts are required for this year and model?

i havent bought a haynes manual yet.

check your owners manual, it will have all that info in it....

i use 5w30 5 quarts in my 3.0 but yours may be diffrent...

you can either use 5w30 or 10w30

5w is better for colder weather conditions
10w is better for warmer weather conditions

The 1996 (Couldn't find a 94 owner's manual) owner's manual lists 5w30 for all engines for that year. You will be fine running 5w30 or 10w30 in the 3.0.

you should be okay with that oil with that many miles on your truck since im sure you have a few minor oil leaks due to age and rot in the seals
