pcv hose

Someone had a post about the pcv hose coming out of the intake going bad.I replaced my plugs yesterday and noticed when engine is on it is almost collapsed. Is this normal?
I tried to pull it off to take to the auto store but it wont budge.Does anyone know how to get it off?
I can slide the tube part of the way out of the intake and I can pull the pcv valve up out of the cover, but the stinking hose is hard to see where it comes off at.

Thanks for the replies. The 3.0 is a little different in that the hose is bigger at one end.Anyone have a fix for that?

I just bought the part for this from Ford, $48 with tax, but my problem now is the tube on the interior is of the hose (which goes into the manifold) does not want to come loose. So I can't just swap the elbows. I am hoping to avoid taking off the whole manifold so if anyone has had luck with this lemme know!

you should be able to get the elbow off and keep the original plastic tube there.

I took a chance and cut/sawed off the old one, it would not come off. Popped the new elbow on and took it for a spin, running great so far and no codes!
