pcv valve assembly

is ther a trick t get hose off the new tube and back on the old tube since there is no room to get tube out and new one back in ti is on a 3.0 ford ranger

Is it the heated pcv? Real pia. If it is, you can get away with sliding the small coolant hoses almost off. I'd pinch them down with something so they don't leak if you slide the hose too far. Then you have just enough room to give the valve a quarter turn as you pull it out. Might have to pull the big hose off first if there's not enough hose to make the 1/4 twist. Then gently spread the metal coolant line to get the valve out. They sell the pcv with the coolant line already on it but it cost more. It's really not much more trouble. Hard part is over by then anyway. Might as well save a few bucks.
