Ported my MAF.. also my performance plan

well i picked up a 2002 3.0L ranger maf sensor.. aluminum body one saturday.. and cut out the guts and all last night.. then came back with some files this mornin and put it in.. evidently i did it right, since it didnt run rich or lean.. and actually has more power.. or well doesnt hesitate like it used to.. its worth it if you have the time.. as far as i go, i'll pull it back off to cut out some more of the walls and then polish the outside to make it look like chrome im planning on a K&N cai, stang 70mm tb, and ported intake.. since i'll just pick up one at work.. as well as underdrives and Efan.. tuner.. get it dyno'd eventually just to see where im at.. trucks going to need a motor at some point as well.. so once that happens i'll throw a stocker in it, take the original, bore it to 20 thousandths, port the heads on it and a set of RR's to get some more lift and some headers.. it'll have some power to it hopefully.. also if someones wanting to get theres ported, i'll do it for a couple bucks.. just send you a ported one and you send your stock one back to me

Do the throttle body half-shaft mod as well. Look at http://www.rogueperformance.com for more information on that. I did that as well and it helps and works especially well in conjunction with the MAF mod, IMO.

n3elz, thanks for pimpin' my site!

The toughest part of the TB halfshaft is getting the TPS off, they use Loc-Tite on it and it can be a real PITA!

Yes Sir, Your Fredness Sir!

Seriously though, you'll find I referred to your site many times here over the years. You helped me a great deal with my older Ranger from the metal-why-in-the-world-did-they-heat-it intake (hot water bypass mod) and right up to my 2002 I have now.

Thanks for your site and your hard work!

I pimp your site for all the cool electrical tricks, and Bob's (rwenzing) posts for the emissions strategies. Between the two of you, I'm getting those cards punched!
