misfire cel blinking?
Alright so here is how the story goes. I was driving on the freeway and the car kinda sputtered almost like a reset. All gauges jumped up n down n then it seemed to shift bak and run. Picked up a belt stopped at a buddys house n the alternator wire was coming undone. No big right? Went to go tighten it and it broke right off. So went thru some steps but ultimately bought a new one and put it on along with the new belt to stop the startup squeek. Driving away i knew instantly it wasnt right. Loss of power sputtering funky exhaust sound. Parked it looked for leaks n wires i may have unattached. Nothing. Drove away n it was running new again. Then on the highway gettin up to speed it started misfiring. Rpms jumpjn up n down a lil no power at all. And the check engine light started flashing. Said i had enough so i parked it till morning. I jus looked and all the plugs seem to be on good. What would make it act like this. Its like a off n on sometimes working sometimes not.

in what condition is the alt wire in to begin with trace it back
A weak ignition can cause a misfire, reduced power, or poor performance. This may be the result of a low battery or a malfunctioning alternator
Poor power connections, or wires and connectors that are too small can reduce ignition output.
Weak or damaged ignition components may work satisfactorily with a well-charged battery and cool conditions, but when the battery loses its surface charge, Low voltage and higher temperatures both require the ignition to work harder.
Hope this helps

It could be but I would go with an ingnition problem. Sound to me like your coil is going bad or a plug wire is shorting to something
One easy way to check is to get a spray bottle and fill it with water
Start the truck and spray the plug wires and the coil down with water
If it starts to misfire and or you see sparks coming from a wire or the coil - it’s bad and needs to be replaced
(When doing this be sure NOT to get water in the throttle body)
That’s my two cents - hope it helps
O and the blinking check engine light means the truck has a cataliconverter damaging misfire - not a good thing - don’t drive it if that continues
