I have a 2004 Ford Ranger 3.0 (vin: 1FTYR10U24PA62336 )

I been doing some research on the 3.0l OHV Vulcan engine, if I'm not wrong it's in the same engine in the Ford Taurus. and if I do get a Taurus engine (bc its cheaper) I will make sure its a 3.0L VIN U OHV, Vulcan, gasoline engine? Does it matter on the year of the Taurus?

So far the things I have research that need to be swap or replace to the Taurus is:
Oil pan, oil pickup, lower intake, upper intake, throttle body, head gaskets (due to coolant flow) water pump, flywheel/flexplate, mounts w/ brackets, valve covers, headers, head bolts, gasket kit and head bolts.
