07 3.0 ranger. Weather just got cooler. .. been using the heater for the first time. Only when I turn on the heater there is a click that happens about every 30 seconds or so. I thought it was a relay. I opened the hood today. It sounds like its coming from the center of the cooling fan. Something I've never worked on before. Do I need a new fan ...clutch.. ??

 

Are you sure it's the fan? The A/C compressor will make that sound when the clutch engages and disengages.
