Rough shift from 2nd to 3rd automatic trans

Hello, I was wandering if it is normal for my 2002 ford ranger edge v6 3.0 to shift kinda hard when going from 2nd to 3rd when flooring it from 0 miles per hour. The rpms go up to like 4000 then shift(from 2nd to 3rd). Idk if this is normal or if the truck has a problem. Idk how old the tranny is, i bought this truck less than a month ago and have changed tranny fluid and filter. Also reverse works fine. from 1st to 2nd when flooring it works fine as well. apparently the tranny was rebuild some time ago. idk when

Yes, the higher the RPM the harder the shift will be.

I haven't driven your truck, so I don't know.
But a shift at wide open throttle is going to be firm.
