Hey ppl,
I was hoping to get some advice on whats going on with my truck. First off my 05 ranger edge w/a 5spd 3.0 has 198000+ miles.what has been replaced are the heads @180000, the coilpack and cranktrigger@ 178000. I cleaned iac,maf,throttlebody around 175000. What is happening is under hard accelerationnot(wot) uner 1500 rpm the engine randomly misses until it reaches2000rpm, then i can feel it hesitate like im lightly letting off the accelerator pedal.i cant see black smoke out the exhaust cause its stock, but i cleaned the tip a few days ago and its getting sooty again.thet plugs and wires where recently changed w/oem parts.

What brand is the coilpack? The issues you're having could be a bad coil pack or a failing fuel pump. Check if there is a spark on all 6 cylinders. Check the fuel pressure. Hope you figure it out.
