I guess it depends. I ran a half can in the tank and a half can through the brake booster line in mine with 32000 on it, it smoked up pretty well, but I couldn't tell too much of a difference but gained about 1 mpg. I changed the plugs after btw.

 

It can't hurt IMO. Might as well keep it clean.
