Small leak around water pump

I have a small drip around the water pump where the pump mates up to the block. It just seeps out a little. I thought about using some stop leak but I’ve heard bad stories about it. Any ideas on what will work best. Vehicle is still drivable. Thanks.

You have a 3 litre so the pump doesn't actually mate to the block, it mates to the aluminum timing cover, and that mates to the block.
Common leaks for the 3 litre is where the coolant flows through the timing cover to the block.
Also, check the weep hole on the pump, the seal may be going on the pump itself.

Can't really recommend a quick fix, never believed in that stuff, but some swear by it.
At any rate, "Stop Leak" products are only temporary at best.
It's only going to get worse.
There's a paper gasket in there that's going.
If the anti freeze is old, then what can happen is corrosion sets in and starts eating the aluminum _ this makes things worse.

Carry a couple of 4 litre jugs of water with you, it may let go suddenly and you don't want to over heat your engine.
