Why do i hear water sloshing around?

Its been raining lately here in the bay area and today as I was driving to work I could hear some water sloshing around in the passenger area under the dash. Any ideas what it can be? I havent really checked it out since its still raining.

i'd guess heater core. check your coolant. it could be low and sloshing around at a level where it has become noticable.

Sound more to me like you have a drain hole stopped up. My old ranger did this once, I just used a small rod to clear the hole out and it drained fine after that. The doors it can sometimes happen to those drain holes too.

Morris- my coolant is good I checked that

Btm757- are you talking about drain holes in the heater core? If so how can I get to them to unclog them? I think that might be my problem.

Sorry I forgot to mention this is happening in my 94 2.3

Im talking about the drain holes for the HVAC box. This houses your AC evaporator and your heater core. It is the same drain hole that allows water to drain out of the box when your AC is on. Also the HVAC box is connected to the vent in the cowl to draw in fresh air from the outside When it rains alot the water enter the cowl and if your drain hole is blocked you will hear sloshing from that area in the dash...

Look under the truck and you should see a little tube that sticks out. might be slightly wet maybe not but thats the hole you have to unstop.

So this past week was full of rain here in the bay area and once again my truck sounds like its sinking with a bunch of water sloshing around behind the dashboard. I went under the truck today to unclog it but i could not find anything that looked like a drain hole for the HVAC box. It should be under the passangersside right? Any help locating it would be great!

This is where u need to look this looking in from the engine compartment just to the right of the heater box. the first pic on this theard. if u use compressed air just blow in there a little bit or use a coat hanger just be careful if u do that.
